Motor Biking - same route in Himalayas

This is latest trend in India.Although ,in Europe, its very old culture  to ride on motor bikes and explore mountain side. But in Himalayas, this culture was introduced by " fair colored gypsies" who found it convenient to  travel long distance in Himalayas...on motorbikes. Enfield motorcycles are sole choice for this type of sport and during our exploration of  Himalayas,we met many gypsies who were on "long drives" and found it very enjoyable as it allows freedom and chance to explore according too a "wild" way.

Again
,we would like to mention that mountain activities are divided into two parts. Ladakh region and rest of Himalayas. We ,at mountadventure will take care of hiring bikes and their management during the activity. All you have to do is...just drive. On way to Ladakh, one can enter though Manali,Himachal Pradesh when rohtang pass opens and its the time when Indian army and tourists both enter the valley. Rohtang is 14000+ pass and as soon one crosses it...its Lahaul valley welcoming them. Through Keylong ...one visits Darcha which is Army check post for both Indians and others. Please note that inner line permit is needed ,as soon as you cross Rohtang Pass. So,please let us know in advance if you choose to motorbike in Ladakh. After Darcha ,one crosses two high passes...Tang lang la 17000+ and Baralach La which is toughest drive of this venture. As soon as you cross Baralacha La...you are in Ladakh (Leh) valley.Leh is situated on the banks of river Indus which is mothersoil of India. Its here that Indus creed develops and came to known as INDUS CIVIZATION.Many tourists visit this place as it also holds many exciting treks/climbs/and also worlds heights motorable pass...Khardung La 18300 ft.

Climate of Ladakh is extremist and one has to be careful for any activity in remote as exposure to UV and cold air can create problem for those who overeact in mountains.I have seen frostbites during my NIKE HIKING EXPEDITION to Khardung la.But if being defensive in mountain ..one can create such a memory that whenever you will come to India, there will be a urge to visit Ladakh,in your heart.

Ladakh is connected by air also.Domestic flights can be booked from Chandigarh and Delhi but weather plays important role in flight scheduling. Flight goes over fascinating mountain ranges of Himalayas. And is considered one of the wonderful air travel .But for a nature freek/adventure loving soul ..we would suggest to travel by road.
